My background includes over 34 years in the dental field. I started at the age of 15 as a Dental Assistant and worked my way up to manager for 7 Dental Offices with Dr. Charles I. Williams. I have experience in every aspect of the Dental Office, therefore, I formed Ellis County Dental and Medical Unltd. Besides the staffing, I also did management consulting for various offices around the DFW Metroplex. I found in 2002 I really wanted to expand my business to pursue more Dental and Medical and go further out into the DFW Metroplex. I moved my office to Ferris to be able to hire people to help me reach my goal. This has proven to be a very smart move on my part. Unfortunately, in 2010 I closed Dent-Med Staffing because we could not recover from the economy crunch.
In January 2005 I started working on a dream to own a Dental Assisting school. This dream came true in June 2005 when Training Academy for Dental Assistants opened its doors for the first class. This has proved to be a wise move because in 2007 we added a Medical Assistant program and later on we added Massage therapy.
I am the sole member of the corporation and look forward to adding YOU to the team. I strive for change and improvement. My motto is work hard, play hard. You will see this in everything I do, including my staff.

P.S. I have a husband, Don, who supports me in all my adventures. I have a beautiful daughter, Christal, who is now a Dental Hygienist. I have a son, Zac, who is a Lancaster Police Officer. Christal has blessed our family and school with Easton, my first grandchild. Christal is married to Officer Jason Meeks who added a granddaughter, Lexye Meeks and grandson Kade Meeks. Zac is married to Lupee Beauchamp and they have blessed us with two beautiful grandchildren, Bristol and Jax.

I have been a Medical Assistant since 2014. Being a Training Academy 4 U alumni, I have the advantage of being able to connect with the students in a special way. I have been in their shoes as a student and know the hard work, dedication, and time investment it takes in order to succeed. Before attending TA4U, I attended another college and it just did not seem to get me anywhere! When I would ask for help or tutoring I was told to refer to my book. To them, it was like I was just a student number that they had in their class. I felt stuck and honestly felt like my dream of being in the medical field was getting further and further away. Thankfully, shortly after, I was introduced to TA4U and started the Medical Assistant class. With TA4U, I was given hands on instruction and the attention that would later on gave me the advantage of being hired on from my externship! I LOVED working as a medical assistant and when I was offered the Student Coordinator position I had a tough time leaving my office, however, I thought to myself, “How cool would it be to help make others dream of working in the healthcare field become a reality!”. I now get to proudly see students become these great healthcare professionals!!! It thrills me to get calls from healthcare facilities wanting to hire our students because they have heard what great healthcare professionals we produce. I pray for our students every day and seeing their success is what keeps us all going. Every day I leave the office thinking, “Wow, we have something GREAT here!”
